The gasp caused her to rain
in the manner of movies
but totally truer.

Caught like a car lurch
in the neck noticing
last minute red.

Sprouting sheets astray,
cliché out loud but
no one lagged.

Outside ourselves it matinéed;
what it was raining for 
debuts before us.

As true a feeling now I
smile for me as you 
are for you, imbued.
